Tenby and Penally 1714

Tenby bailiffs instructed that a bridge be built across the ritec to link Tenby to Penally. In 1721 on that bridge, 2 farmers George Marchant of Wall Park and Western Close in Manorbier and his brother Thomas were murdered after a night out on the town in Tenby. The late mayor of Tenby, Thomas Athoe and his son Thomas Athoe were executed after being found guilty of the most heinous crime at the Old Kent Road London. Davies (2001, p. 55 - 59)
